Polar Research and Policy Initiative was pleased to host a dialogue The Changing Arctic: The New Epicentre of Geopolitics, Geoeconomics and Geoscience in the 21st Century at St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India, on 12 December 2019. The event included the India book launch of The North American Arctic: Themes in Regional Security (London: UCL Press, 2019), edited by Dr Dwayne Ryan Menezes and Prof Heather Nicol.
The speakers at the event included Dr Dwayne Ryan Menezes, Founder and Managing Director of Polar Research and Policy Initiative; Alice Rogoff, Publisher and President of ArcticToday; and Dr Russell Read, CEO of The C Change Group and formerly the MD of MSCI and Chief Investment Officer of the Alaska Permanent Fund, California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) and Gulf Investment Corporation.
The event attracted over 200 students and faculty members from disciplines including public policy, management studies, mass media and science.
