Lana Ollier is a Contributor at Polar Research and Policy Initiative and the Coordinator of its ‘Polar Matters’ interview series. She served as Fellow from 2016 to 2019.
She has completed a MSC in Environmental Policy and Regulation at the London School of Economics and holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science from the Freie Universität of Berlin. Her main interests in the Arctic are issues of governance, with a particular interest in the Arctic Council. She is currently working on her masters dissertation looking at non-state actor participation in the Arctic Council. Having a background in environmental policy, she is also particularly interested in sustainable development and environmental conservation issues. While completing her studies she is working as a research assistant and student administrator for the Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) in Berlin.
Apart from her long-lasting interest in the Arctic, she takes great interest in Indian Climate and Energy Politics, where she has previously conducted field research.
