Polar Research and Policy Initiative was pleased to join the The Climate and Sustainability Policy Research Group at Flinders University in co-hosting a workshop on Geostrategic Futures in the Southern Ocean and Antarctica, with the support of the Australian Department of Defence, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Centre for Marine Socialecology and The Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security at the University of Wollongong, at the Rydges Capital Hill Canberra in Canberra, ACT, on 5-6 December 2019. PRPI Director Dr Dwayne Ryan Menezes was pleased to discuss Australia’s growing Arctic footprint, interests and capabilities, and launch his new volume on The North American Arctic: Themes in Regional Security (London: UCL Press, 2019).
