Karla Dicker is a recent graduate from the University of Southampton where she completed her degree in Spanish. In 2020, Karla was an English Language Assistant with the British Council in Andalusia, Spain where she carried out a research project on perspectives of feminism.
Karla’s most recent project involved supporting a local start-up to tackle food waste and poverty in Southampton. During the pandemic, Karla volunteered to help young disadvantaged children over Zoom with their school studies.
Embarking on her career, Karla is passionate about the Spanish-speaking world, socio-political issues, and she is interested in acquiring experience in the areas of policy, international relations and global challenges. She has always been involved in the local community through volunteering and fundraising and keeps up to date with global events. Outside of work, Karla is an avid netball player and enjoy reading.
