Dr Dwayne Ryan Menezes represented Polar Research and Policy Initiative as a speaker at the Seventh China–U.S. Arctic Workshop in Hong Kong on 2–4 December 2024.
HKUST and Tongji University jointly organised the workshop, with their Centre for Ocean Research in Hong Kong and Macau (CORE) and Center for Polar and Oceanic Studies as co-hosts. The theme was Arctic cooperation between China and the United States in the context of global change and governance.
The organisers examined cooperation in sustainable development, climate, shipping, culture, tourism and education. Tongji’s retrospective explicitly names Menezes among the speakers representing PRPI.
