Annabelle Jarrett is an Australian currently completing a dual MSc in International Affairs at the London School of Economics. Having spent the first year of the degree in Beijing at Peking University, she brings an established interest in the impact of contemporary China on the international system.
Joining PRPI as a Fellow, Annabelle will examine China’s role in the Arctic, particularly focusing on Chinese investment and its impact on local communities. Having studied China throughout her postgraduate and undergraduate studies, her academic background covers Chinese investment, including under the Belt and Road Initiative. Annabelle will also focus on the increasing Australian footprint in the Arctic, and what this could mean for the future of the region.
